Custom video mapping and projection
Custom video mapping and projection
When projection should not be a plain rectangle, video mapping wraps onto real volumes: facades, objects, sets, architecture. We design and deploy projection installations for museums, festivals, shows and events — from the first scoping session to running the show on opening night.
What sets us apart: we are the creators of MapMap, the free/open-source projection mapping software. No one knows the engine better, and we can adapt it to your project. Alexandre Quessy has been practising video mapping since 2016; his projections have been presented on three continents.
Transforming space
Video mapping turns any surface into a living canvas. A facade, an interior wall, a sculpture, a set: animations are projected precisely onto the real volumes, until the space appears to come alive. It is the tool of choice to leave a lasting impression — in an exhibition hall, on stage, or at a large-scale event.
What we deliver
Turnkey installations
Design, calibration, on-site installation and show-running. You describe the space, the surface and the deadline; we deliver a projection that works on the night. For museums and exhibitions, the installation is built to last and to be maintained simply.
Custom development
Missing a video output, a codec, an effect or a show-control protocol in your production chain? Because we write the engine, we add it. You get the feature you need, on a base you keep and can evolve.
Integration and show control
We connect the projection to your existing setup: media servers, synchronization over OSC or MIDI, NDI, Syphon or Spout outputs, multi-projector blending, sensors and interactivity. Heterogeneous systems made to talk to each other, for a smooth run.
Training and support
We train your technical teams in video mapping and stay available, with support agreements suited to productions that cannot afford downtime.
Why work with the creators of MapMap
- The authors of the tool. Rare expertise: we can adapt the engine itself, which no proprietary software lets its clients do.
- At the crossroads of art and code. Artistic sensibility and technical rigour, from scoping to production.
- Durability. Free/open-source software means an owned, auditable base — no expiring licence, no single-vendor lock-in. A real asset for institutions and public funding.
Our approach
For more than 20 years, we have supported cultural institutions, festivals and producers — from idea to installation:
- Needs analysis, venue constraints and objectives.
- Design and prototyping, with design sprint facilitation when useful.
- Custom software development and multimedia.
- Hardware integration, installation and technical support.
